Role Description
As a Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer E&I, you will develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies for electrical and instrumentation equipment in a large-scale chemical plant. You’ll play a central role in future-proofing the site’s assets, working closely with fellow engineers to improve reliability, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety standards and technical regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and roll out a preventive maintenance program based on the long-term plan (LRP) using SAP
- Monitor and continuously optimize PM strategies to improve cost efficiency
- Design asset lifecycle and obsolescence plans for E&I equipment
- Identify vulnerabilities in critical systems and implement mitigation plans
- Ensure all maintenance standards comply with technical guidelines and legislation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of reliability engineers (across static, rotating, and E&I disciplines)
- Report directly to the Maintenance & Reliability Lead
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience with E&I installations in the petrochemical sector
- HBO degree (technical) or equivalent E&I engineering background
- Strong background in preventive maintenance planning and implementation
- Solid knowledge of:
- Low-voltage installations
- Protection systems (IEC 61511)
- Design/maintenance in ATEX zones
- E&I equipment, regulations, and standards
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Skilled in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Power BI
- Basic understanding of predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and lifecycle cost analysis
- Familiar with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles (preferred)
