Maintenance Technician, Steenderen, Gelderland

The Role 
As an Maintenance Technician, you are a key player in keeping the cheese production factory running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will work in a technically advanced environment where your main responsibility is to prevent and solve technical malfunctions, particularly in the area of electrical systems.

Responsibilities 

• Quickly respond to and fix faults in production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular inspections and scheduled maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
• Participate in improvement projects aimed at increasing reliability and performance.
• Accurately document your work and update maintenance systems like SAP
• Work according to safety protocols like Lock Out, Tag Out, Try Out.
• Support and work closely with other technicians and production teams
• Be available for emergency call-outs and able to arrive within 30 minutes if needed.

• Completed Technical Education, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, with a strong affinity for electrical systems, as about 80% of the work is electrical and 20% mechanical.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
• Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a production or factory environment (not just construction electrical work); must be able to troubleshoot and maintain systems like PLCs, frequency converters, pneumatics, hydraulics, and cooling/mechanical installations.
• Willing to work 4-day, 9-hour day shifts, participate in on-call duty after 3–4 months, and must live within 20–50 km of Steenderen to be on-site within 30 minutes during emergencies.
