Our client is dairy cooperative with international presence, formed by dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The company has a large product range including milk, yoghurts, baby and infant nutrition, cheese, butter and several locations in the Netherlands.
Role Description
As a hands-on Allround Mechanic with strong electrical engineering skills, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the technical performance of the advanced production systems at the cheese factory. If you're passionate about solving technical issues and working with modern production technology, this is your opportunity to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns and technical faults
- Inspect and maintain complex installations, including PLCs, frequency controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, and refrigeration systems
- Participate in technical improvement projects to enhance reliability and performance
- Handle administrative tasks in SAP and support internal reporting
- Be available for on-call duty and able to reach the site within 30 minutes
Requirements
- Completed technical education, preferably in electrical engineering or mechatronics
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands-on, solution-driven approach
- Able to multitask and assist colleagues across departments
- Willing to work flexibly and take responsibility beyond a standard 9–5 role
- Experience or affinity with working in a factory environment
- Bonus: Experience in electrical systems and NEN 3140 certification path
- Eagerness to learn and grow into more senior technical roles
