Role Description
The Assistant Global Procurement Manager - Animal Proteins supports the development and execution of Unilever’s global procurement strategy for eggs, meat, and seafood, focusing on cost savings, supply resilience, and animal welfare. The role involves global sourcing, supplier management, and driving sustainability initiatives like cage-free eggs and high animal welfare chicken.
Responsibilities
-Developing and executing global procurement strategies for eggs, meat, and seafood to meet Unilever’s business needs.
-Managing direct spend (approx. €60M) and supporting the global spend (~€174M) on animal proteins.
-Driving savings targets (NMCI, NMI, Buying Savings, Cash) and cost efficiencies globally.
-Ensuring supply security and resilience, including crisis management and contingency planning.
-Leading supplier negotiations and tender processes to secure optimal terms.
-Driving sustainability commitments, especially the cage-free egg and high animal welfare chicken agendas.
-Conducting market analysis and providing price forecasting for budgeting and planning.
-Managing supplier relationships and developing new partnership models.
-Supporting innovation and category plans, particularly for Scratch Cooking Aids and Dressings.
-Collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Finance, Sustainability, etc.) to align sourcing strategies.
-Monitoring supplier performance on service, quality, and compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
-Contributing to global category strategies and implementing best practices across regions.
Requirements
-Proven experience in Procurement and Supply Chain

-Fluent English communication skills
