Role Description
As the Operational Excellence Specialist, you will support product lifecycle activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and manage master data. You’ll be part of the Site Commercialization team, working closely with internal teams such as QA, Supply Chain, and Regulatory. Initially, your work will be a 50/50 split between lifecycle support and hands-on master data tasks, gradually shifting more toward process optimization and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product lifecycle management (PLM) activities, including New Product Introductions (NPIs)
- Drive improvements in workflows, reduce manual effort, and implement smart tooling (Smartsheet, SharePoint)
- Manage and maintain master data (initially 50% of the role), including BOMs and material data
- Act as a key link between the PLM and Master Data teams
- Update and manage data directly in internal systems
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally, particularly with QA, to ensure compliant implementation of changes
- Gradually reduce manual data tasks through automation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences
- Strong technical affinity and interest in automation or process optimization
- Analytical and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience or the ability to quickly grasp master data management processes
- Comfortable navigating complex systems and driving simplification
- Fluent in English (Dutch not required)
