The Role
As a Biochemical operator, you will help produce animal vaccines (mainly for poultry) in a clean and sterile environment. You work with biological materials, operate machines, and follow strict GMP rules to ensure high-quality products.

Responsibilities 

• Produce vaccines in a cleanroom environment following GMP guidelines

• Prepare, grow, infect, and harvest cells used for vaccine production

• Fill, freeze, and store vaccines in ampoules

• Operate and clean production equipment and machinery

• Accurately document all work and sign off on GMP records

• Support cleanroom setup, cleaning procedures, and material preparation

• Detect and report deviations or technical issues; help resolve them

• Work in different stages of the production process based on training and planning

• Actively contribute to teamwork and help colleagues when needed

• Suggest and support improvements to processes and work instructions 

• MBO level 3 or 4 diploma (e.g. biotechnology, lab technician), or relevant HBO (e.g. HLO), or equivalent work experience in a GMP-regulated production environment (e.g. pharma, food, feed); experience with aseptic processes or cell culture is a plus.
• Proficient in Dutch
• Able to follow strict procedures and GMP guidelines carefully, complete documentation reliably, and work with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in cleanrooms, wearing protective suits, and performing repetitive and physically active tasks (e.g. lifting, standing, moving materials).
• Willing to learn through internal training, work independently, take initiative, support colleagues, and contribute to process improvements; open to feedback and teamwork.
