Role Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design and execution of electrical systems in highly regulated cleanroom environments, supporting safe and compliant production processes.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and specification of electrical systems in pharmaceutical and biological production environments.
- Preparing and evaluating quotation requests, supporting procurement decisions.
- Assisting internal stakeholders in translating operational needs into technical requirements for electrical installations.
- Overseeing contractors and external engineering partners to ensure project delivery meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinating and independently executing smaller, discipline-specific (mono-disciplinary) projects.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of technical decisions, design changes, and project agreements.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and biosafety guidelines.
- Contributing to sustainable design and cleanroom infrastructure projects, with a focus on electrical aspects.
- Assessing and managing contract changes and negotiating with external partners when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (HTS/HBO+), ideally with HIT certification.
- Valid VCA-VOL safety certification.
- At least 5 years of experience in project execution within pharmaceutical or food production environments.
- Working knowledge of cGMP standards and biosafety regulations.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing user requirements and technical documents.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and basic design software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; capable of working independently and in a team.
- Practical, hands-on approach with a focus on engineering execution,
- Fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken.
- Experience with cleanroom construction and understanding of HVAC and architectural elements.
- Knowledge of cleanroom decontamination systems (e.g., hydrogen peroxide).
- Background in sustainable design and contract drafting for engineering and construction.
