Role Description
As an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and improving site safety procedures and acting as a subject matter expert. You will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture and coaching colleagues to ensure continued safety excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance EH&S systems, processes, and practices
- Lead or support the implementation of EH&S standards within your area of expertise
- Coach and support EVM team members to foster a safer working environment
- Perform EH&S risk assessments and support project-related safety evaluations
- Participate in audits and inspections (e.g., ISO 14001:2015, internal compliance checks)
- Lead or assist in incident investigations
- Develop and deliver training on EH&S topics
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the EH&S field
- Familiarity with international management system standards (e.g., ISO 14001)
- Ability to work effectively within complex and evolving organizational structures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to implement sustainable safety improvements
- Certification as a Primary Safety Expert (“HVK”) or equivalent is a plus
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
