Role description
As a Demand Planner, you will be a key contributor within the Customer Supply Chain organization, collaborating closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply planning teams. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and refining demand forecasts across both short- and long-term horizons. By combining analytical expertise with effective stakeholder engagement, you will help ensure product availability, optimize service levels, and support ongoing improvements in forecasting accuracy and supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and supply planning to integrate commercial insights into forecasts.
  • Translate key business drivers—such as promotions, seasonality, tenders, and new product developments—into accurate demand plans.
  • Validate and challenge data inputs and assumptions provided by commercial teams.
  • Lead demand review sessions and actively contribute to the monthly S&OP process.
  • Coordinate with supply points to manage constraints, allocations, and ensure supply-demand alignment.
  • Track and drive improvement in KPIs include forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, and waste reduction.
  • Perform in-depth analyses and generate reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the demand planning strategy by supporting roadmap execution and leading key improvement projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years or master’s degree with 2+ years in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
  • Experience in forecasting and demand planning, preferably in FMCG or food sectors.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of planning systems such as SAP APO or OMP; Power BI and advanced Excel.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch not required).
  • Experience in sales, procurement, or cross-functional collaboration is a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with ability to influence and challenge constructively.
