The Role 
This role focuses on managing and improving how the business sources materials or services across Europe. It involves making informed, cost-effective purchasing decisions by analyzing market trends, developing strong supplier partnerships, and collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide accurate price forecasts and market insights for CM Europe.

  • Deliver cost savings and value through negotiations, tenders, and portfolio analysis.

  • Prepare and execute negotiation strategies with Category SC teams.

  • Lead CM workstreams in supply chain optimization projects.

  • Support financial targets like gross margin and cash flow improvement using smart buying tools.

  • Manage supplier relationships as the first point of contact.

  • Scout and assess new suppliers aligned with strategy and innovation goals.

  • Act as procurement lead in innovation projects.

  • Contribute to team goals by leading shared initiatives.

  • Build supplier partnerships and ensure compliance with audits and contracts.

  • Support sustainability initiatives.

  • Develop contingency plans to secure supply.

  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in category management, procurement, and supply chain optimization.

  • Expertise in analyzing market trends, forecasting prices, and cost modelling.

  • Proven negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management.

  • Strong financial acumen with focus on margin and cash flow improvement.

  • Ability to identify and onboard new suppliers aligned with strategy and sustainability goals.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
