Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SAP Specialist to be responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of SAP systems. You will support the implementation and migration of SAP RISE and S/4HANA projects, collaborate closely with technical and functional teams, and ensure the smooth operation of SAP solutions. You will also provide ongoing technical support, manage user access and security, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Performing SAP Basis administration tasks, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, MDG, EWM).
- Monitoring and optimizing SAP system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Conducting regular system health checks and implementing performance tuning strategies.
- Supporting the implementation and migration of SAP RISE and S/4HANA projects, collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Providing timely technical support for SAP Basis-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems efficiently.
- Managing user access and security, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Maintaining up-to-date system documentation and operational procedures.
- Supporting the installation and configuration of supporting tools such as test automation and data migration platforms.
- Creating and managing incidents and service requests related to SAP project activities.
- Administering HANA DB, Fiori apps, and Workzone launchpad as part of SAP system management.
- Using Cloud ALM for SAP implementation and operational tasks.
- Overseeing the administration of BTP (Business Technology Platform).
Requirements
- 5-10 years of experience in SAP system administration, with a focus on migration to SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong technical expertise in SAP Basis administration, including S/4HANA, ECC, MDG, and EWM.
- In-depth knowledge of HANA DB, Fiori apps, and Workzone launchpad.
- Experience with Cloud ALM and BTP administration.
- Proven ability to manage user access, security, and compliance with company policies.
- Solid understanding of SAP migration processes and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical support under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and collaborate with remote teams.
- A proactive approach to system monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
