Role Description
Our client is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join their team. This exciting role involves working on innovative medical test equipment and industrial production systems. You will contribute to the development of machine control software, ensuring the successful integration and testing of complex systems in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to software functional specifications and the development of test system concepts
- Align software concepts with system architects, E-design, and M-design teams
- Design, code, document, and test complex machine control software
- Develop and implement machine control software, considering functional and economic aspects
- Create and maintain software standards, security concepts, and control panels
- Manage SW commissioning and maintenance schedules
- Identify and resolve software issues during integration and product lifecycle
- Provide third-line software maintenance support as a technical expert
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong knowledge of machine control software, such as Cordis Suite and PLC Beckhoff
- Experience with model-based software development (e.g., UML)
- Familiarity with Lab view and C# is a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25% and work at customer locations
