Senior Financial Accountant – US GAAP & Dutch GAAP

The Client
Our client is a global healthcare company that develops, manufactures, and markets innovative medicines, vaccines, and animal health products. With a strong focus on research and development, they aim to improve patient outcomes and address some of the world's most challenging health issues, including cancer, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular conditions.

The Role
As a senior Financial Accountant you'll manage accounting transactions, prepare statutory accounts, assist in audits, and support internal reporting.

Responsibilities 

• Manage General Ledger accounting in compliance with US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and tax regulations.
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting of all Headquarter transactions.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts for holding companies in line with Dutch GAAP.
• Support the lead accountant with internal reporting and Sox 404 audit processes.
• Generate reports for the Statistical Office (CBS) and the Central Bank (DNB).
• Address ad-hoc requests from stakeholders, including Headquarters, Corporate Tax, and Treasury.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to boost efficiency and streamline processes in your area.

• Proficient in US GAAP and Dutch GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience with SAP COMET
