The Role
As a Commercial Analyst, you will support the company's Global Insights & Analytics team within the Commercial Excellence function. The position centers on leveraging data and analytics to improve commercial performance and decision-making, particularly in areas such as market trends, vendor management, and data governance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Provide commercial insights across business groups, including competitor analysis, category forecasting, and ad hoc data requests.
- Collaborate with the Academy team to co-create and roll out a learning program on data-driven decision-making (DDDM).
- Manage and optimize relationships with global data vendors (e.g., NielsenIQ, Europanel, Euromonitor) for effective data use.
- Implement and maintain data governance policies and quality standards for core global analytics vendors.
- Lead commercial data analytics projects in collaboration with regional Insights & Analytics teams and IT.
- Design and manage global dashboards to track market performance and provide accurate reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in commercial data analysis, vendor management, and project management, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
- Experience with retail/household panel data and a solid understanding of market analytics.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with different departments and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
