The Role
In this role you will oversee the management and compliance of packaging material specifications to ensure they meet global safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Quality, and Purchasing to improve packaging processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure product integrity. The coordinator plays a key part in maintaining high standards for packaging materials used in specialized nutrition products for sensitive consumers across international markets.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage packaging material specifications to ensure they meet global safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with teams like R&D, Quality, and Purchasing to improve and streamline packaging processes.
  • Drive improvements in packaging efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Update and upgrade packaging specifications to meet new regulatory and industry standards.
  • Find ways to simplify specifications, reduce complexity, and improve cost efficiency.
  • Help create and maintain strong processes for managing packaging specifications across the supply chain.
  • Ensure packaging materials meet food safety and quality standards for sensitive consumer products.
  • Keep packaging specifications and related documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Provide technical support and advice on packaging requirements across different markets.
  • Work on aligning packaging specifications across suppliers and manufacturing sites.  
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science, Packaging, Food Science/Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field, with 5+ years of experience in a B2B environment, ideally in packaging or food safety.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials, regulatory compliance, and food safety standards, along with experience working in cross-functional, international teams.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Focused on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and familiar with packaging processes, technologies, and testing methods.
  • Able to manage multiple projects efficiently; project management experience is a plus.
