The Role
This role ensures safety and compliance in contractor activities within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing setting. It focuses on managing contractor safety, following health and safety laws, and improving safety practices. The role also involves advising management and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an effective system to prevent incidents and violations during contracted activities.
- Ensure all contracted activities comply with the Contractor Management program and perform risk assessments and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with EU and Dutch health and safety legislation and the client’s EHS policies and procedures.
- Drive safety improvements through audits, monitoring targets, and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
- Ensure that safety training is effective, up-to-date, and adapted to changes in the program or business needs.
- Ensure changes to processes, systems, and procedures are reviewed and comply with safety regulations.
- Align with Facilities & Engineering to manage outsourced contractor activities and ensure ISP compliance.
- Manage or support additional EHS programs as needed and provide advice to management on safety and environmental matter.
- Proven experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Contractor Safety Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, Quality, or equivalent.
- Minimum qualification at MVK level; HVK preferred.
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in manufacturing or high-tech industries.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and manage change, with knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
