Role Description
As a Maintenance & Reliability Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting maintenance and reliability activities within large-scale engineering and facility projects. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable and maintainable equipment and systems throughout the project lifecycle, while supporting the setup of new departments and production equipment. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will advise on maintenance strategies, spare parts management, reliability concepts, and asset performance to ensure sustainable operations with minimal lifecycle costs. This role requires a proactive and hands-on engineer who can support multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating effectively with operations, engineering, maintenance, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance and reliability activities within ongoing engineering and facility projects.
  • Develop maintenance concepts, maintenance plans, and spare parts strategies for new equipment and systems.
  • Advise on RAM (Reliability, Availability & Maintainability) during design and project phases.
  • Support equipment criticality assessments and maintenance-related risk analyses in line with GxP and EHS standards.
  • Monitor maintenance requirements and technical standards throughout detailed engineering and project execution.
  • Support maintenance master data management, data registration, and equipment analysis within SAP PM.
  • Establish relationships between equipment performance and production process reliability.
  • Support implementation and optimization of asset management and maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure reliable project delivery.
  • Contribute hands-on support during equipment implementation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Maintenance & Reliability Engineering or maintenance-focused project engineering.
  • Experience within manufacturing, production, pharmaceutical, biotech, food, chemical, or similar technical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance engineering, reliability methodologies, and asset management principles.
  • Experience with SAP PM and maintenance master data is preferred.
  • Familiarity with GxP and EHS guidelines is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience with spare parts management, maintenance planning, and equipment reliability analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and ownership-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is preferred.
