Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Machine Learning Engineer to support initiatives in smart digital manufacturing. The role involves developing and deploying machine learning models to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency, primarily through analyzing sensor and system data from industrial machinery.
 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of machine learning models, from data collection and preprocessing to development, validation, deployment, and ongoing refinement.
  • Analyze data from equipment such as compressors, pumps, and manufacturing systems to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.
  • Interpret physical system behaviors using various sensor data, including vibration, temperature, force, position, and images.
  • Research and recommend suitable machine learning and deep learning models for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and condition monitoring.
  • Build, train, and validate models with a focus on real-time deployment in manufacturing environments using Python workflows.
  • Create dashboards in Grafana for monitoring data streams and model outputs.
  • Regularly evaluate model performance, monitor for drift, and ensure robustness over time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including automation engineers and external vendors, to ensure solutions meet operational needs and are effectively integrated.
 
Requirements
  • MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mechatronics, or related engineering field with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, or BSc with at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python (including pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow) and experience with platforms like Databricks.
  • Solid knowledge of anomaly detection, probabilistic models, and deploying machine learning solutions in industrial settings.
  • Ability to interpret sensor data from machinery such as pumps, compressors, and assembly systems.
  • Hands-on experience with software engineering and DevOps practices, including version control (Git), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD workflows.
  • Proven ability to independently design and implement end-to-end machine learning solutions.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
