Job Description
Our client is looking for a Site Quality & Food Safety Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities at site level. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced quality professional who can combine technical expertise with strong people management skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards in quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance, while also developing a strong and effective QA/QC team. This person will work closely with site leadership and key operational stakeholders to support performance, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the site QA/QC team
- Promote a strong quality and food safety culture across the site
- Manage and improve quality processes, standards, and systems
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Prepare for and lead internal and external audits
- Monitor quality performance and report on key metrics
- Take ownership of quality incident management, including escalations
- Identify food safety and quality risks and drive mitigation actions
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders
- Represent the quality function within the site leadership environment
- Support team effectiveness and help strengthen the overall performance of the quality organization

Requirements
- Degree in Food Science or a related field preferred
- Solid experience in quality and food safety within a food manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of food processing, ideally within a complex production setting
- Experience with quality management systems
- Proven team leadership and coaching experience
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a matrix organization
- Experience with change and continuous improvement
- Fluent in Dutch and English
