Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team in the Eindhoven region. This role is focused on the design and development of FPGA- and SoC-based solutions for advanced technical systems.
The Senior FPGA Design Engineer will work on complex, high-performance applications and play a key role across the full development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through implementation, verification, and release. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys deep technical work, collaboration with international stakeholders, and contributing to innovative systems in a structured engineering environment.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based solutions based on system and product requirements
- Contribute to requirements definition, architecture, development, testing, and release activities
- Develop solutions involving high-speed designs and interfaces
- Perform system-level debugging and functional simulation activities
- Support technical reviews, including design and code reviews
- Prepare and maintain technical specifications and design documentation
- Contribute to planning, effort estimation, and backlog management
- Communicate technical progress clearly with internal stakeholders
- Work closely with multidisciplinary and international teams on a range of engineering assignments

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with VHDL and/or Verilog
- Solid background in FPGA and SoC design
- Experience with high-speed design and high-speed interfaces
- Strong debugging and simulation skills
- Experience working with FPGA vendor toolchains
- Familiar with version control, CI/CD, and regression testing approaches
- Comfortable producing technical documentation and specifications
- Strong communication skills in English
- Able to work in a hybrid setup with regular onsite presence in the Eindhoven region
