About the Role:
As a Senior Firmware Designer, you will work in a global R&D team developing next-generation MRI systems for advanced healthcare solutions. You will design and develop FPGA firmware for control and acquisition systems used in hospital and radiology environments. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to bring innovative MRI products from concept to production. You will define firmware requirements, develop FPGA designs, and ensure high-quality testing and documentation.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop FPGA firmware for MRI control and acquisition systems, ensuring high performance and reliability. 
- Gather and define firmware requirements and create detailed specifications and test documentation based on system and stakeholder needs. 
- Develop FPGA architectures including IO planning, clock/reset structures, and external hardware/software interfaces. 
- Perform integration, testing, verification, and release of FPGA designs using tools like VHDL/Verilog, SystemVerilog/UVM, and simulation environments. 
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (hardware, mechanical, system, and manufacturing engineers) to deliver high-quality products from concept to production.


Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field with strong knowledge of digital and embedded systems. 
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in FPGA firmware development using VHDL and/or Verilog, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices, automotive, aviation, or similar. 
- Hands-on experience with FPGA design development cycle, high-speed digital/FPGA/CPLD systems, and AMD/Xilinx tools (Vivado) with strong debugging and integration skills. 
- Experience in functional verification using SystemVerilog/UVM, static code analysis, simulation tools (Questasim), DSP implementation (DDS, NCO, DDC, SDR), and SoC FPGA architectures. 
- Strong knowledge of hardware-software interfaces, digital connectivity (Ethernet, USB, RS232), version control, CI/CD pipelines, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
