Role description
The Senior FPGA Engineer is responsible for designing and developing FPGA-based solutions for advanced electronic systems. The role covers the full development lifecycle, from requirements definition to implementation, verification, and system integration. The position focuses on high-speed digital design and works closely with global engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop FPGA and system-on-chip solutions based on product requirements.
- Participate in system architecture definition, implementation, testing, and release.
- Develop high-speed digital designs and interfaces.
- Perform system-level debugging and functional simulations.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards and participate in design and code reviews.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications.
- Contribute to project planning, estimations, and backlog management.
- Communicate progress and technical status to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5–10 years of experience in FPGA development.
- Strong experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Experience with FPGA development tools and vendor platforms.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and interfaces.
- Strong debugging and simulation skills.
- Experience working in high-tech or regulated industries.
- Experience with version control and testing frameworks.
- Ability to write technical specifications and documentation.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and international environment.
