Role description
The Scientist Biologics is responsible for developing, validating, and supporting analytical methods for protein-based products. The role focuses on chromatography techniques and ensures methods are reliable for development, transfer, and routine use. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and contributes to scientific investigations and regulatory documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize analytical methods for biologic products using chromatography techniques.
- Act as subject matter expert for specific analytical methods.
- Perform troubleshooting of analytical methods and laboratory instruments.
- Design and execute experiments to support method development and validation.
- Analyse data and prepare technical reports.
- Support the development and execution of method validation strategies.
- Participate in scientific investigations related to analytical methods.
- Collaborate with teams across analytical, manufacturing, and quality functions.
- Contribute to regulatory documentation and support interactions with regulatory authorities.
- Support training activities within the laboratory.
Requirements
- Degree in life sciences, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Experience in analytical development within pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments.
- Strong experience with chromatography techniques such as size exclusion, ion exchange, or hydrophobic interaction chromatography.
- Experience with method validation and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with scientific writing and documentation.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
