About the Role:
As an All-round Breakdown Technician, you are responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical failures in a high-tech production environment. You perform both reactive troubleshooting and planned maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and software systems. You work independently while collaborating closely with technicians, planners, and production teams. You ensure accurate reporting, safety compliance, and continuous improvement of equipment performance. This role requires a proactive, hands-on professional who thrives in a 5-shift system and ensures uninterrupted production.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related breakdowns to ensure minimal production downtime.
- Perform preventive and planned maintenance activities according to the maintenance schedule.
- Document all maintenance and repair work accurately in SAP PM and update technical documentation.
- Analyze recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- MBO Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience working in a production or manufacturing environment (preferably within food processing or processing industry).
- Strong technical knowledge with a mix of electrical (approx. 60%) and mechanical (approx. 40%) skills, including experience with PLC/SCADA systems.
- Certification as a Low Voltage Technician (NEN3140 VP) or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to work independently in a 5-shift system, with strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and effective communication abilities.
