Job Description

The Technical Packaging Specialist will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining packaging specifications and processes. This position involves working closely with international teams to ensure packaging components meet quality standards and optimize production efficiency.
 

Responsibilities

  • Document and update specifications for packaging components including labels, cartons, partitions, leaflets, shippers, pallets, and WIP trays, ensuring compliance with Change Control procedures.
  • Develop and review testing protocols and reports, ensuring thorough evaluation of packaging materials.
  • Lead investigations and troubleshoot packaging component issues across production, warehouse, and inspection areas, managing deviations as needed.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with approved packaging suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at packaging optimization or the introduction of new packaging solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, and Validation Engineering to support project success and smooth operations.
 
Requirements
  • Degree in Packaging Design, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience in pharmaceutical packaging.
  • Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Strong organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent communication in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials (cartons, labels) and equipment used in secondary and tertiary packaging within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience in technical writing, creating packaging material specifications, including technical layouts.
  • Understanding of how packaging specifications connect with production, artwork, regulatory, and supplier requirements.
  • Analytical mindset, capable of evaluating complex situations and resolving issues independently.
  • Ability to support projects and escalate problems when necessary.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality results as part of a team.
