About the Role
This interim legal role focuses on managing complex disputes, claims and insurance related matters across multiple jurisdictions. The position supports senior leadership and coordinates with external law firms, ensuring timely progress and strategic handling of litigation and claim settlements. The assignment requires a senior professional capable of working independently while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and advise on disputes, claims and damages involving third parties across several countries.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to senior management on ongoing and emerging litigation matters.
- Coordinate and oversee external law firms handling disputes and claims.
- Support insurance related processes and ensure clear handling of requirements.
- Monitor progress of all open litigation and ensure timely follow up with all stakeholders.
- Review and advise on commercial contracts relevant to disputes, liabilities and risk exposure.
- Support cross border legal processes within an international business environment.
- Engage with distributors and other external partners involved in disputes or claims.
- Assist in preparing documentation and analysis for negotiations, settlements and arbitration matters.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant legal experience in an international setting.
- Strong expertise in dispute resolution, claims management and liability related matters.
- In depth understanding of international commercial contract law.
- Experience working with external counsel and managing multi country legal processes.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to handle complex issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience in FMCG, food or pharmaceutical sectors is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of product liability principles is important; industry specificity is not mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross functional teams.
Other Information
- Hybrid work structure with on site presence required on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Start date as soon as possible, ideally within the current month.
