About the Role
This position is responsible for the engineering design, installation, commissioning, and qualification of complex manufacturing equipment within a large-scale formulation project. The role oversees ongoing technical challenges related to equipment integration, automation, and final construction details. It requires close collaboration within a multidisciplinary engineering matrix and external partners to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient equipment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for complex pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Serve as SME for equipment in the Beta-Lactam formulation area.
- Collaborate closely with global engineering teams, end users, and subject matter experts.
- Maintain strong relationships with design and construction partners across Europe.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests at vendor sites.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification activities as technical owner of the formulation area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in (Bio)Pharmaceutical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Food Technology.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or high-tech industries in capital project engineering.
- Experience with hygienic design, powder handling, or Beta-Lactams preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GMP (EudraLex Vol. 4), Annex 1, ISPE, and EHEDG guidelines.
- Understanding of construction processes and equipment integration in regulated environments.
- Excellent English; Dutch is a plus.
