About the Role
As a Biopharmaceutical Production Technician, you will support bacteriological manufacturing activities by preparing, sterilizing, and supplying materials and equipment required for antigen production. Working in a regulated production environment, you will collaborate closely with operators and support teams to ensure efficient production flow, strict adherence to GMP standards, and accurate documentation. The role provides hands-on exposure to modern cultivation and single-use bioprocessing technologies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of materials, including receipt, storage, and internal distribution.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment such as autoclaves.
- Prepare growth media and support cleaning and sterilization of mobile vessels and equipment.
- Ensure production teams have timely access to required materials and tools.
- Support manufacturing processes using advanced cultivation systems, from pilot scale to large single-use bioreactors (up to 1500L).
- Complete and maintain GMP records in line with regulatory requirements.
Report and follow up on deviations, equipment issues, and process observations.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a Lean/Six Sigma framework.
- Collaborate with operators, media preparation teams, and production coordinators.
Requirements
- Completed MBO level 3 education or higher.
- Interest or experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing.
- Strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
- Good communication skills in Dutch, both spoken and written.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with SOPs, deviations, and equipment documentation.
- Prior experience in a GMP-regulated environment is a plus.
