Role Overview
As a Team Leader Maintenance, you will lead and develop a multiskilled technical team responsible for the daily corrective and preventive maintenance of machines, installations, and building facilities. You ensure reliability, safety, and performance of production assets and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and coach a team of planners and maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, allround).
-Ensure safe, compliant, and high?quality execution of all maintenance activities.
-Coordinate external contractors and service suppliers when required.
-Manage and monitor maintenance budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting.
-Create, manage, and execute the annual maintenance plan (preventive & corrective).
-Oversee maintenance work registration and planning in SAP PM.
-Ensure standardization of maintenance procedures according to technical policies.
-Align maintenance activities with production needs and priorities.
-Act as operational replacement for the Maintenance Manager in their absence.
-Serve as stop/shutdown coordinator and manage related planning and communication.
-Analyze breakdowns, perform RCA, and implement improvement actions.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, Lean, Tracc).
-Ensure full compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
-Implement and supervise LOTOTO, TRA, work permits, and 5S workplace standards.
-Support team development through training, competence matrices, and coaching.
-Conduct recruitment, performance reviews (OGF), workforce planning, and team meetings.
Requirements
-HBO degree (preferably technical).
-5–8 years of experience in a maintenance environment.
-Experience in the food, process, or IFT industry (strong advantage).
-Proven leadership and people management skills.
-Experience with SAP PM (mandatory).
-Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
-Understanding of TPM, Lean, Tracc, RCA, and continuous improvement.
-Knowledge of LOTOTO, TRA, permits, and SHE/QHSE standards.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Decisive, problem-solving, and structured working style.
-Fluent or strong proficiency in Dutch and English.
