Role Description
The Senior Product Design & Development Manager leads the end-to-end design and development of specialized nutrition products, acting as the technical lead within cross-functional project teams. The role ensures robust, compliant, and consumer-centric product formulations while delivering the category innovation pipeline on time, with strong focus on quality, regulatory requirements, and execution excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver the category innovation and renovation pipeline, ensuring on-time, high-quality execution.
- Act as the technical and R&I lead in projects, representing Product Design & Development and driving key technological decisions.
- Ensure holistic product design by integrating consumer needs, scientific and nutritional requirements, regulatory compliance, and cost/value considerations.
- Mentor and support other Product Design & Development Managers while effectively managing stakeholders across functions in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- A Master’s or PhD degree in Food Technology/Science or related fields
- Experienced product developer (Min. 3-year experience in Product Development or R&I environment), driven & resilient to face and overcome challenges in a dynamic and demanding environment
- Have a strong technological background in specialized nutrition know-how, proficient in using product design and development tools.
- Good understanding of Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory frameworks for this category.
- Good knowledge of qualification and validation processes
- Strong problem solving and decision making with analytical competencies
