Role Overview
As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing process automation systems within a modern production facility. You will work closely with automation, IT, production, and engineering teams to ensure stable and future-proof operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize process automation and DCS systems
- Ensure high availability and reliability of automation platforms
- Manage lifecycle updates and technical documentation
- Support CAPEX projects from design through FAT/SAT and commissioning
- Apply and monitor IA and IT standards
- Analyze incidents and follow up on resolved production issues
- Coordinate and manage external automation suppliers
Requirements
- HBO (Bachelor) level of working and thinking
- 5+ years experience in industrial/process automation
- Experience with DCS systems (e.g. ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS7, DeltaV)
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- FMCG, food, or pharmaceutical industry experience
- Knowledge of FAT/SAT, MoC, and CAPEX projects
- Affinity with instrumentation and process technology
