Role Description
The Accounting plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for NV Organon and its holding entities. Reporting to the Associate Director -  Entity Controller, this position focuses on compliance with US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and management reporting standards. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams such as Entity Controllers, Manufacturing Controllers, Enterprise Services and Solutions (ESS), Costing, and Tax teams. Based in the Netherlands, the Senior Specialist ensures strong financial controls, statutory compliance, and effective coordination with global service centers. 

Responsibilities

• Coordinating monthly financial closing for NV Organon and multiple holding companies in line with US GAAP.
• Managing accounting practices and ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP for non-leading ledgers.
• Preparing annual reports and overseeing statutory audits.
• Maintaining a robust control environment, ensuring adherence to global and local control standards.
• Collaborating with ESS and Centers of Excellence on accounting processes and reporting.
• Supporting compliance with SOX requirements, including documentation and control enhancements.
• Preparing quarterly forecasts, tax-related reports, and cash flow projections.
• Assisting with cost-sharing activities, service fees, R&D recharges, royalty calculations, and IP-related obligations.
• Handling internal and external tax reporting, including annual corporate income tax submissions.
• Reviewing statistical reporting and supporting grant opportunities for manufacturing sites.
• Partnering with auditors to facilitate audits and address findings promptly.
• Driving process improvements to streamline and standardizing accounting activities. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and Dutch tax regulations.
• High proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA, advanced Excel skills, and financial reporting tools.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrates integrity, ethical behavior, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Resilient, stakeholder-focused, and reliable with a track record of delivering results.
