Job Description
As a Senior Logistics Process Engineer to join the team at the Sassenheim manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee and improve material and product logistics processes, ensuring operational excellence while maintaining compliance with industry standards. You will act as a key contributor, leading process enhancements, supporting cross-functional teams, and mentoring staff to enhance overall logistics performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of inbound material handling, staging, kitting, and product distribution processes.
- Collaborate with senior management and global teams to develop robust and efficient logistics methods aligned with production goals.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and internal quality standards through diligent monitoring and process adherence.
- Manage equipment lifecycle and safety assessments for equipment, integrating findings into process improvements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, Work Instructions, and Master Batch Records.
- Lead root cause analyses, CAPA actions, and non-conformance investigations to resolve issues promptly.
- Perform process audits and risk assessments to identify opportunities for safety, quality, and efficiency enhancements.
- Support change management initiatives, technical transfers, and validation activities to ensure smooth process transitions.
- Train and coach team members on processes and safety protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Represent the operations team during inspections and audits, ensuring readiness and compliance at all times.
- Create strategies and action plans for long-term operational excellence, including tool and process development.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment and process integration, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- Relevant BSc or MSc degree with at least 7 years of experience in logistics, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive knowledge of GMP, GDP, and related regulations.
- Proven experience with inbound logistics, material staging, and outbound distribution.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills—able to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of working independently or as part of a team under pressure.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
