Role Description
As a Bioprocess Operator, you play a critical role in the production of high-quality biological products used globally. Working in a specialized cleanroom environment, you will execute various steps within the vaccine manufacturing process—ranging from material preparation to cell processing, aseptic operations, filling, freezing, and storage.
Responsibilities
- Perform production activities in cleanroom and non-cleanroom settings in accordance with GMP procedures and safety regulations.
- Prepare materials, execute process steps, and support the full lifecycle of vaccine manufacturing.
- Conduct aseptic operations, including infecting, harvesting, filling, and processing biological materials.
- Operate and maintain production equipment, ensuring accurate and aseptic performance.
- Document all activities precisely according to GMP and internal documentation standards.
- Support cleanroom preparation, equipment setup, cleaning procedures, and related pre- and post-production tasks.
- Identify deviations, perform initial impact assessments, and escalate issues to experts when required.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical or process-related issues.
- Contribute actively to a positive team environment with a “never let a colleague fail” mindset.
- Participate in process improvements, from minor optimizations to involvement in departmental improvement projects.
- Update or refine work instructions and operating procedures in alignment with process owners.
Requirements
- Completed MBO level 3 or 4 education, or a relevant HBO degree; alternatively, experience in GMP production (biotech, pharma, food, or feed).
- Strong command of the Dutch language (written and verbal).
- Experience with GMP environments or aseptic handling is an advantage.
- Ability to work accurately, follow procedures, and maintain high standards of documentation.
- Willingness to participate in internal training and perform hands-on tasks in a biological cleanroom environment.
- Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing to team goals.
