About the Role:
This role performs advanced maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting on automated material handling, electrical, mechanical, and computerized systems within Amgen facilities.
It ensures equipment reliability, compliance with GMP standards, and minimal disruption to plant operations. The position provides technical expertise, supports documentation, drives continuous improvement, and may act as a team lead.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations on automated material handling, electrical, mechanical, and Level 3/4 computerized systems.
- Ensure full compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety regulations, and documentation standards, maintaining accurate work orders and records.
- Develop, revise, and interpret technical documents and detailed drawings to support equipment reliability and operational continuity.
- Support equipment start-up, upgrades, and new installations, ensuring mechanical and automation systems meet design specifications.
- Collaborate across departments and provide technical guidance, potentially acting as team lead while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- MBO+ educational level achieved through formal education, training, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in areas such as automated material handling systems, warehousing control systems, production automation, equipment maintenance, or interfacing Level 3/4 computerized systems.
- Strong background in software engineering with mechanical/electrical knowledge or electrical engineering with automation technology experience.
- Extensive expertise in automated material handling systems and ability to keep complex systems operational.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and a solid understanding of GMP standards (preferred).
