Role description
We are seeking a Material Management Specialist to manage dual sourcing projects for critical materials such as filters and bags. This role involves representing the Leiden site in global initiatives, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and coordinating across multiple functions to deliver successful material introduction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Manage dual sourcing projects for filters and bags.
- Represent the Leiden site within a global network.
- Handle change controls, assessments, and implementation.
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, material sciences, and operations teams globally.
- Oversee testing protocols, prototypes, and qualification packages.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and stage-gate processes.
- Report progress to global teams and sponsors, including budget and stakeholder updates.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously at different stages.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proven project management and planning skills.
- Technical understanding of pharmaceutical processes (continuous perfusion, fed batch).
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with global teams and diverse functions.
- Corporate awareness and ability to communicate across levels.
Location: Leiden, Netherlands.
Onsite presence: Minimum 3 days per week (preferably 5).
Employment type: Freelancers permitted.
Working language: English (Dutch is a plus).
