Role Description
We are seeking a Material Management Specialist – Raw Material Dual Sourcing to join the Logistics Centre of Expertise in Leiden. In this role, you will lead initiatives to strengthen material resiliency by introducing and qualifying alternative raw materials into the supply chain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate dual sourcing projects for raw materials, including qualification and implementation.
- Act as the link between planning, manufacturing, and technical departments to introduce alternative materials.
- Lead project planning and execution, including documentation of change controls.
- Perform assessments with subject matter experts to ensure suitability of solutions.
- Manage GMP records and escalate issues impacting schedules or costs.
- Set up supply chain processes for alternative materials and maintain vendor communication.
- Stay informed on industry standards and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Analytical (Bio)Chemistry, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
