A global organization active in the high-tech and medical device industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve their production processes. The role sits within the Manufacturing Department of the Factory in Best and focuses on both maintaining running business and implementing new projects. The environment is fast-paced, highly regulated, and technologically advanced, offering strong exposure to complex manufacturing processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Role Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, optimizing, and maintaining production processes within the factory. You will play a key role in troubleshooting issues, driving improvements, supporting product changes, and contributing to new product introductions. The position requires strong analytical skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across engineering, development, quality, and production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain work instructions; monitor and maintain devices, tooling, and production processes.
  • Train employees and support day-to-day production activities.
  • Lead escalations related to production issues and complaints, collaborating with development and other departments when needed.
  • Drive structural improvements using methodologies such as Problem Reports (PR) and 8D problem solving.
  • Support Life Cycle Management and product changes within manufacturing processes.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert during audits.
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) and execute Process Validations.
  • Perform defect and missing-on-arrival root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze product and process performance using Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control.
  • Provide input to Product Industrialization Engineering to improve ways of working.
  • Prepare and support trial/prototype builds during NPIs.
  • Lead improvement projects to enhance efficiency, product quality, and testing processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering within a high-tech environment.
  • Hands-on mentality with strong documentation skills and high attention to detail.
  • Independent, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership and driving improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels (operators to management).
  • Experience with SAP (MES) and Windchill is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT).
  • Experience with quality systems and methodologies (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA, audits, FMEA, 8D, SPC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to summarize and interpret complex information.
  • Quality-driven, result-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
