The client is part of the global pharmaceutical company. The facility is focused on the development and manufacturing of biologic medicines, particularly in the fields of immunology, oncology, and infectious diseases. They specialize in producing large-scale biologic drugs, which are typically made from living cells and are used to treat complex diseases.
Role Description
As a Project Manager, you will be a key contributor to the success of the EVM Portfolio by driving the implementation and execution of engineering and validation projects. Your role involves overseeing complex technical initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will play an active part in shaping and improving project management processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Leading and delivering assigned projects such as end-of-life replacements for technical systems (HVAC, production/lab equipment, water/gas systems), cleanroom and laboratory refurbishments, and technical feasibility studies.
- Ensuring projects meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality requirements.
- Review and approve key project documentation, including project plans, URS, risk assessments, cost estimates, and resource allocations.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and project sponsors.
- Support project leads and onboard external contractor project managers for assigned projects.
- Maintaining and updating portfolio management tools and providing accurate data on budgets, resources, and timelines to the portfolio manager.
- Contributing to annual Capex budget planning and monitoring its execution throughout the year.
- Setting priorities for Capex projects, align with relevant departments, and continuously improve processes to optimize technical assets and resources.
- Delivering project management training and onboarding for both internal teams and external contractors.
- Providing guidance and training on Project Management Systems (PMS) to internal customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing technical projects within engineering or life sciences environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including RACI principles.
- Ability to review and approve technical and project documentation.
- Skilled in budgeting, resource planning, and risk assessment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with Capex planning and portfolio management.
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to optimize processes.
- Competence in training and onboarding project teams and contractors.
