Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will support and optimize production operations within a high-tech manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient manufacturing processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring product quality across the production line.
 
Responsibilities

  • Write and update work instructions, monitor and maintain equipment and tooling, and guide production staff on process execution.
  • Initiate and manage structural solutions for production issues using problem reports (PR) and 8D methodology.
  • Lead escalations related to production problems, collaborating with development teams and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Minimize disruptions and maximize yield by troubleshooting and working closely with team leads and technical experts.
  • Manage product changes through lifecycle management, including updates to launched designs within manufacturing processes.
  • Participate as an expert during audits and support new product introductions.
  • Execute process validation activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for defects on arrival (DEFOA) and missing on arrival (MOA), and develop solutions.
  • Provide input to improve workflows for volume production after product release.
  • Analyze performance data using statistical tools (Six Sigma, SPC) to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support planning and activities related to new product introductions, including trial and prototype manufacturing.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in BioMedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering within the high-tech industry.
  • Proactive, independent, and results-driven with a strong focus on quality.
  • Experience with SAP (MES) and Windchill is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data effectively.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, preferably in the medical industry (ISO 9001, 13485, FDA requirements, audits, FMEA, 8D, SPC).
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with operators, developers, and management alike.
