The Company
The client is one of the Netherlands’ biggest dairy products manufacturers who is also active globally. 

Role Description
For the client's cheese packaging facility where safety, quality, and continuity are top priorities and because of temporary capacity constraints within the safety team, we are looking for an interim Safety Specialist who can take over operational safety tasks while driving structural improvements. The role focuses on enhancing safety processes, such as work permits and safety analyses, and providing guidance to strengthen the safety culture on-site. 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and coaching teams to improve safety culture across the site.
  • Conducting GAP and risk analyses on key safety topics, including work permits and LOTOTO.
  • Advising on corrective actions based on analysis outcomes and monitor implementation.
  • Identifying potential risks and proactively contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Assisting with incident investigations and providing practical safety advice during projects or special activities.
  • Utilizing digital tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SharePoint) to monitor KPIs and report safety actions. 

Requirements

  • Completed MVK, HVK, IVK, or equivalent safety-related qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (Arbowet, CE marking, machine safety).
  • 5–7 years of experience in safety management and risk assessments, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools; Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset, hands-on approach, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic production environment.
  • Dutch language proficiency is mandatory.
  • Availability for 24hrs per week for 6 months (possible extension to 9 months).
  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills; ability to translate business processes into technical requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and traditional project delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Visio.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in business/system analysis within ERP, retail execution, or data integration projects.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis or Agile (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, Scrum Master) are a plus.
