About the Role
As a Facility Engineer, you will be part of the Hard Services Maintenance Team, responsible for keeping office and laboratory facilities safe, efficient, and fully operational. You will work on a wide range of technical installations, including HVAC, electrical systems, and building utilities. The role combines hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with external contractors. It offers variety, with no two days alike, and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on office and laboratory buildings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in technical installations.
- Register and follow up on service requests in facility management systems.
- Conduct safety and compliance checks, including legionella inspections.
- Coordinate and supervise external technicians during maintenance projects.
- Manage tools, spare parts, and materials for daily repairs.
- Support facility-related projects, relocations, and event setups.
- Take part in the on-call duty team outside regular working hours.
Requirements
- MBO-level education in a technical field.
- Valid VCA VOL certification.
- At least 2 years of relevant technical or facility maintenance experience.
- Experience in a laboratory environment is an advantage.
- Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with MS Office and facility management systems.
