Role Description
As a Development Specialist in the Chilled Dairy team at this company, you will lead product innovation and renovation projects, transforming dairy concepts into high-quality, market-ready products. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver indulgent, nutritious, and consumer-focused dairy solutions across Europe.
Responsibilities
-Lead renovation projects including quality improvements, raw material changes, new specifications, and value engineering.
-Execute recipe transfers between factories while ensuring product consistency.
-Develop and implement new product innovations, considering nutritional values, claims compliance, shelf life, cost, and sensory attributes.
-Plan and conduct product and application tests at lab, pilot, and factory scale.
-Analyze and interpret test results, preparing clear and comprehensive reports.
-Present findings and proposals to stakeholders and peers.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, QA, Supply Chain, Procurement, Research, and Technology.
-Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, for project execution.
-Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards throughout the development process.
-Support continuous improvement and innovation within the product portfolio.


Requirements
-A Master’s degree, preferably in food technology, food processing, dairy technology, physical-chemistry, or a related field.
-At least 2 years of relevant product development and/or analytical experience in a food company, ideally in fermented dairy.
-Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
-A proactive attitude with a sense of responsibility and continuous improvement.
-Strong analytical skills and digital proficiency.
-Hands-on, quality- and result-driven approach.
-Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to engage and challenge others.
-Decisive, well-organized, and a strong team player.
-Willingness to travel to production locations in the Netherlands and/or Belgium.
