The Company
Our client is a leading European dairy producer with a mission to nourish by nature. They specialize in creating indulgent, healthy, and nutritious dairy products across well-known in-house brands and private labels. The Chilled Dairy Development Team, based in Wageningen, focuses on the innovation and optimization of fresh dairy products such as yoghurts, quark, drinking milks, and desserts for the European market.

Role Description
As a Product Development Specialist, you will support the development and renovation of chilled dairy products. This includes leading innovation projects, optimizing existing recipes, and managing cross-functional collaboration to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and consumer-relevant products.

Responsibilities
- Lead product renovation activities such as recipe optimization, quality improvements, and raw material adjustments.
- Support new product development with a focus on nutrition, sensory performance, claims compliance, cost, and shelf life.
- Conduct product trials on lab, pilot, and factory scale; analyze and document outcomes.
- Present development results to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, QA, Supply Chain, Procurement, and external suppliers.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Processing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food product development (dairy preferred).
- Strong communication skills in English 
- Hands-on, analytical, and quality-driven mindset with a proactive and structured working style.
