The Role
The Pricing Operations Lead will serve as a key strategic contributor within the global pricing function, supporting market access and pricing governance for a diverse portfolio across therapeutic areas. Operating within a dynamic and evolving pricing environment, this role combines analytical acumen with cross-functional collaboration to optimize pricing strategies, drive informed business decisions, and support product launches across multiple markets.
Reporting to the Regional Value & Access Leadership, this role will act as a center of excellence for operational pricing execution, delivering insights, managing data systems, and supporting affiliates throughout the pricing lifecycle.
Responsibilities
-Deliver comprehensive pricing analyses, including international reference pricing (IRP), price erosion trends, premium assessments, situational analysis, launch sequence planning, and net pricing tracking.
-Maintain and enhance pricing tools, systems, and dashboards, contributing to ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives.
-Support country affiliates during annual pricing cycles (budget planning, policy implementation, exception handling) in collaboration with regional market access leads.
-Review and approve pricing-related contracts and business cases, providing insight and constructive challenge to optimize pricing strategies and ensure policy compliance.
-Support price governance by ensuring proper documentation, rationale, and analytics for pricing decisions and exceptions.
-Train affiliate teams on contract setup, implementation procedures, and price list structures; provide ongoing guidance on global pricing standards and policies.
-Partner with Finance to align pricing scenarios with budget assumptions and local reference system (LRS) forecasting.
-Identify and explore new opportunities related to market entry, product expansion, and loss-of-exclusivity (LOE) preparation.
-Participate in global projects and initiatives to support strategic pricing, access optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
-Minimum of 5 years (with a bachelor's) or 3 years (with a master's) of relevant experience in pricing operations, financial analysis, sales and marketing effectiveness, forecasting, or consulting.
-Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred.
-Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; other European languages are a plus.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional and international teams.
-Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
