Role Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Facility Operations Technician to ensure seamless building operations across their office and laboratory facilities in Utrecht. You’ll handle everything from maintenance to safety checks—keeping systems running smoothly in support of critical scientific work.
Responsibilities

Perform routine and structural maintenance for offices and laboratories

Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and technical systems

Manage service tickets using a facility management system

Conduct regular safety checks, including legionella inspections

Supervise external maintenance contractors

Monitor and maintain tools, supplies, and repair inventory

Assist with internal moves and facility-related projects

Participate in the on-call duty team for off-hours support
Requirements
-
MBO-level education in a technical discipline
-
VCA VOL certification
-
2+ years of relevant maintenance or facility experience
-
Experience working in laboratory environments (preferred)

Proficiency in Dutch and English

Skilled in using MS Office and facility management tools
