About the Role
As an R&D Laboratory Technician, you will support the Nutrition R&D team in generating scientific evidence on the health effects of nutrition. You’ll carry out in vitro digestion and cell-based experiments that directly contribute to substantiating the health benefits of innovative dairy ingredients and products. 
This is a hands-on lab-based role ideal for someone with a background in life sciences, microbiology, or cell biology, who enjoys working on research projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute laboratory experiments using in vitro digestion models and cell cultures
- Conduct biochemical and cell-based assays to assess biological responses
- Analyze data, interpret results, and document findings in clear reports
- Maintain accurate records and manage datasets
- Take ownership of lab organization and equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with lab safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory practices
- Collaborate closely with scientists and other lab analysts 

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HLO) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant lab experience, preferably in a research or industrial setting
- Hands-on experience with: In vitro digestion, Cell culture (airways, gut, immune cells),(Cell-based) biochemical assays
- Experience with qPCR and/or dPCR is a strong advantage
- Able to independently manage and analyze experimental data
- Strong sense of responsibility with the ability to handle multiple project

- Flexible working hours per week
- It’s an on-site position but occasional remote work is possible
