Role Description
As a Junior Support Engineer, you support IT and OT systems on the manufacturing shopfloor, focusing on labelling, packaging, and system reliability. You help implement new technologies like IIoT and AI while ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
-Support the implementation of new technology solutions to improve manufacturing reliability and efficiency.
-Perform operating system and application patching/update activities on the shopfloor.
-Deliver and install IT equipment for end users, production, and warehouse areas.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
-Maintain and troubleshoot shopfloor technology systems (e.g., printers, scanners, Building Management Systems).
-Document technical procedures and provide training to staff on new systems and processes.
-Stay up to date with technology trends relevant to manufacturing and distribution.
-Promote a continuous improvement mindset within IT and operations.
Requirements
- MBO level with 3+ years of experience in IT within a manufacturing environment,
or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a hands-on mentality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
