Role Description
As a Supply Chain Planner, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that patients in over 75 countries have consistent access to life-changing products. You’ll oversee the planning and coordination of product supply and production lines, ensuring reliability through all stages of a product's lifecycle — from launch to phase-out. This role balances operational efficiency with strategic planning, requiring you to navigate business trends, manage components, and optimize production capacity, all while minimizing costs, waste, and excess inventory.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing both mid- and long-term supply plans for specific products and production lines.
- Taking full ownership of planning activities in the Rapid Response environment, ensuring agility and responsiveness.
- Maintaining open and effective communication with key stakeholders and resource owners.
- Participating in cross-functional planning meetings (e.g., IDP STOS, PLTs, GSCTs), contributing insights and recommendations on strategic supply chain decisions.
- Identifying and communicating risks and opportunities related to supply continuity, scrap reduction, and global planning initiatives.
- Proactively monitoring inventory levels and ensuring alignment with business targets and market demand.
- Addressing supply disruptions by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Completing planning cycles on time and conducting scenario planning to support data-driven decision-making.
- Partnering closely with manufacturing sites and global teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid background in end-to-end supply chain planning and operations, ideally within regulated industries like pharmaceuticals, medtech, food & beverages, or ingredients.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven collaboration and communication skills with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives to completion independently.
- Experience with SAP and Rapid Response (RR) is preferred.
