The Company
A leading pharmaceutical company is looking for a Senior Lab Technician to join their Quality Control Microbiology team. This is a hands-on role in a GMP-regulated environment, focused on microbiological testing and lab coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products, such as vaccines and tablets.
 
Role Overview
As a Senior Lab Technician in QC Microbiology, you'll perform and interpret microbiological tests (e.g., sterility, endotoxins, bioburden), support junior colleagues, and take part in lab planning, documentation, and troubleshooting. While this is not a managerial role, you’ll act as a content lead, guiding others on technical matters and ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
-Perform both routine and non-routine microbiological analyses
-Write and review protocols, reports, and test documentation
-Assist in lab planning and scheduling of test activities
-Troubleshoot technical issues and support method transfers or validations
-Contribute to audits and continuous improvement initiatives
-Support and guide less experienced team members
-Ensure timely and compliant documentation in Dutch and English
 
Requirements
-HLO (Bachelor of Applied Science) in Microbiology, Biology, or Life Sciences
-Several years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical lab (not a junior profile)
-Skilled in microbiological techniques such as sterility testing, bioburden, endotoxin testing
-Strong written and verbal communication in both Dutch and English
-Comfortable interpreting test results and identifying deviations
-Familiarity with GMP documentation, CAPA, deviations, OOS, and QN processes
